The mobility plan for Cali is one of the most encouraging news for Cali. Although a plan that by law had to deliver on July 31 , 2008, just when a group of citizens in a legal action asserted their rights, the mayor moved to its technicians and secretaries of Traffic, Infrastructure, Planning and Metrocali to formulate a plan that was consistent with the needs of Cali. According to the mayor, the Plan contains aspects in harmony with the POT (Land Use Plan), the analysis of public space, the system of public transport, road infrastructure, the network of bike paths, pedestrian circulation, and alternative transport modes . The mayor suggested to consider the harmony of mobility with the urban structure and to consider productive zones, urban facilities, recreational areas, residential and public space, major roads, areas without vehicular traffic, low emission areas and a parking plan. He argued that although much of it is built, it is necessary to harmonize and fit a complete plan and the plans that are needed. He added that the Mobility Plan to plan the city, from every point of view, involving the MIO and the work of recovery, so that citizens in less time moving around the city.
